The questions that keep you awake at night:
Why do your children come home feeling angry and resentful towards you?
How do you handle the guilt and anger when you see your ex manipulating your children?
What do you do when conversations with your children always seem to end in arguments?
How do you protect your children when you see signs of emotional abuse?
If these questions hit close to home, this six-week course might be a fit for you.
Society expects you to "just co-parent" because it's supposedly best for the children. Family and friends don't understand why you can't make it work. The courts may have ordered co-parenting arrangements.
But here's the truth: you have a better chance of finding a unicorn that farts rainbows than meeting a narcissistic person who genuinely co-parents.
Narcissistic people don't see their children as separate individuals. They view them as extensions of themselves. This reality makes your relationship with your children not just important – it's essential for their emotional survival.
One of the biggest worries my clients experience is that they are worried about losing their relationship with children. They lose sleep over thinking how to protect their children. They experience immense grief that nobody understands about having a child with a person who is abusive towards their own children. It makes no sense. Worst of all, it feels like the children keep their worst behaviour for you.
Narcissistic parents maliciously fracture your relationship with children by counter parenting. Children are just another object for them to use as a pawn in attempt to control you.
And that’s why our relationship with our children is the antidote to narcissistic abuse. As hard as it is, please remember that this is a marathon.
Our relationship with our children acts as a protective barrier to manipulation.
It’s hard to manipulate a child who knows who they are authentically.
So, raising our children authentically must become our priority.
There are three important elements to ace your co-parenting with your narcissist journey.
